Samantha received bachelors in paralegal pre-law and social work from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. She moved to St. Louis, MO in 2009 when she entered her MSW program at Washington University in St. Louis. After graduation she began working with children and their families as an advocate in their education, home life, and medical journeys. She went on to obtain a Master of Science in Administration from Lindenwood University. She spent the last seven years running and expanding an afterschool program in downtown St. Louis. Samantha has worked to start up Gray Space (a three-part thought-provoking series on race and inclusion in the workplace, community, and individual exploration) and STEAMin' Programs (which offers programming to the whole child with a focus on Social Emotional Learning and STEAM based academics). She has extensive history in grant writing, fundraising, and program development and is beyond excited to bring her skills and passion to Haven House.
