Help During a Difficult Time
My husband was diagnosed in Joplin with inoperable heart failure and was referred to Barnes-Jewish Hospital. After several months of treatment with medicine, he was scheduled for triple by-pass surgery. We have been fortunate to stay at HavenHouse on more than one occasion when testing was being done. If it were not for HavenHouse it would not have been possible for me to accompany my husband due to our financial situation. I cannot than you all enough.
Words are inadequate to express our appreciation and gratitude for the opportunity to stay in such a beautiful facility as this one is. From the moment we first walked in the staff made us feel welcome and treated us like family. Every staff member and volunteer is truly a blessing to families who are going through the scariest time of their lives. It is such a comfort to stay in such a clean, comfortable environment. The staff are caring experts in anticipating one's needs before one is even aware that the need exists. It means everything to have an empathetic listener to confide in, as well as delicious meals and a safe place to relax.
